It Takes a Village

In 2023, Bernadette Lavoie and Lizanne Yeomans came together with a vision: to create Rock the Ville, an event that would showcase local talent, bring people together, inspire community unity, and raise funds to help improve local infrastructure.

What began as a vision quickly became something much bigger than they ever imagined. Rock the Ville found incredible success and, most importantly, discovered an amazing community that embraced the event and made it their own.

When people ask us, “How do you manage to do all of this?” our answer is simple:

It takes a village.

And not just any village — the Village of Albertville.

From volunteers and local businesses to performers, sponsors, families, friends, and community members who continue to show up and lend a hand, Rock the Ville is truly a community effort.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has believed in the vision, supported the event, and helped turn an idea into something that brings people together year after year.

Rock the Ville is more than an event. It is a celebration of our community, our people, and what we can accomplish when we come together.

Because it takes a village — and we are proud to call Albertville ours.
